This table shows the top 100 least well-paid occupations in the federal government in 2008, ranked by average pay. In 2008, the worst paying job was "Deck Midshipman," with an average yearly pay of $10,681. The second worst paying job, "Barbering," follows with an average of $13,036, which is a 22.05% increase.
