Executive & Senior Level Pay Tables
Executive Schedule - ES Level 1 Pay
The Executive Schedule (ES) sets the yearly salaries for top government officials, including the leaders and senior personnel in over 75 Federal government agencies.
ES Level I positions are presidentially appointed and congressionally approved. These positions are filled by the president's cabinet and high level executives who lead major departments or agencies within the federal executive branch. When the presidential administration changes Level I positions are reappointed by the new administration.
Since 2009, the yearly pay for an ES Level 1 official has been raised 1.5% from $196,700 per year to $199,700 per year.
